ABOUT THE PRODUCER

Since the occupation of the Romans in Mértola, there have been records of honey production much appreciated as a result of the combination of a unique climate and flora. More recently, the Marques family has been contributing to the construction of the history of honey in the region, first with Francisco Marques, followed in 1984 by Francisco Pereira Marques and since 1994 with Nuno Marques, dedicating himself to beekeeping since 1945 and keeping in operation the oldest rosemary honey producer house in Mértola.
